Question Picture Level Issue

Hi,

I've got a 28" Widescreen Sony Trintron TV that i've had for maybe 7 years. I'm afraid i can't rememver the model but it isn't flat screen.

Ever since i've had it the bottom left hand corner has dipped downward making the bottom of the screen not straight even though the top was level.

I was told that someone i used to know had the same issue &U wanted to reduce the overscan behind the plastic front and simply took the back of the TV off and was able to straighten it up. I remember going in to the local Sony centre and they fobbed me off with a "it's the convergence, it's normal reply."

However, i've recently moved and it looks like the TV took a knock or two as when i set it back up the picture was all lopsided. It has a rotate option on the menu and setting it to the extreme has managed to make it look like it used to to some extent. However the corner is still off and the top is also a little wobbly now.

Is there a simple unscrew the back and fiddle with a couple of screws fix or is it a really major operation to have a nice straight picture?
