Question Toshiba RM-1470 - help needed

Hi guys,

I recently came into possession of an old Toshiba RM-1470 28" model. It was working very well until last night when it appeared to change to stand-by mode all by itself. It now appears to be stuck on stand-by (red light on) and pressing any button on the remote or the channel up or down on the TV has no effect.

Any ideas about what has happened and how I can overcome this?

Cheers

Brewski
