Ahhh....the joys of Cathode Ray Tubes.
You should be able to get this adjusted; presumably it's under warranty. Most TVs have adjustments of this sort in an engineer's menu, although the extent to which the problems you describe can be electronically adjusted out will depend on the mechanical contruction of the tube - if it's too far out, it may not be possible to get it close to perfect. You can only get an engineer to try for you (or do it yourself if you are brave and know the access code for the menu).
Why is it that PC monitor manufacturers nearly always offer a comprehensive range of geometry adjustments, yet leave these controls off the user menus in TVs?
