Question JVC AV28WFT Default Service menu settings or Factory Reset ?

Does anyone know the stantdard settings for the service menu. With particular the 'DEF' section of the service menu. Or is there a way to perform a factory reset ?

(For the model AV28WFT1EK)

Thanks

When I had an engineer round to check the geometry on my AV 32WFT1 he told me that there were no standard settings as all TV's were set up individually at the factory.

From what I have since learnt, engineers frequently tell porkies when they don't know how to fix something.

Try a Google search on http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...ia.home-cinema as there have been quite a few postings on fiddling around with service menus.

Regards

Ian

Dear all,

Below is a list of settings for picture alignment for the JVC AV28WFT for those (like myself) who forgot to write the settings down before changing the setting to comensate the RGB picture shift.
For use under DEF Menu (to access service menu press i and mute together).

I have taken the settings from three different sets (in various stores so I know the service setting haven't been messed with). To obtain default settings simply use an average of the values below (or try each set), most of settings are similar to with +/- 1 across the three different tv sets.

Mode Dixon Currys Comet

Panaramic
1 -8 -2 -11
2 8 9 10
3 -8 -8 -8
4 -4 -5 -5
5 11 10 9
6 15 17 16
7 -4 -4 -4

Full 1 0 0 0
2 -10 -7 -8
3 0 0 0
4 0 0 0
5 -6 -5 -5
6 1 1 0
7 0 -1 0

2 34 34 34
3 0 0 0
4 -1 -1 -1
5 -5 -3 -3
6 -2 -1 -4
7 -2 -6 -2

Regular 1 0 0 -1
2 -7 -7 -7
3 0 0 0
4 -2 -2 -1
5 -16 -17 -17
6 0 0 -1
7 1 0 0

2 13 16 13
3 0 0 0
4 -3 -1 -3
5 -6 -7 -6
6 0 1 0
7 0 -2 0

For the other Zoom modes you'll have to look for yourselves I didn't have time to get them all only the main ones. If you do manage to get the setting for the other Zoom modes please post them on this thread.

Sorry about the formating but to clarify (the first number on the left under each zoom mode indicates the menu item under the DEF menu)
The numbers to the right of that indicate the settings found on the TV in Dixons, comet, currys (2nd,3rd,and 4th across respectively). i.e 1=V-shift (ithink) and the settings for the Full Zoom where 0, 0, and 0

For the other Zoom modes you'll have to look for yourselves I didn't have time to get them all only the main ones. If you do manage to get the setting for the other Zoom modes please post them on this thread.

if you want an XL file showinf this more clearly then send a e-mail to me at Peterdelve@hotmail.com
