Lost Remote Control - Any Advice?

Evening all.

Seems my 16 month old little girl has been playing 'hide the remote' and I haven't been able to locate it anywhere.

Any idea on the easiest way for me to obtain a replacement? It's a Toshiba 36ZP46 purchased from Currys if that helps.

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

Thumbs up

Hi LMD,
I needed a replacement control for my Sony TV. Was told on the Sony website to contact the company below. The cost was also very reasonable. Less than £ 20.00 if I remember correctly.
They also do Toshiba !

Hope this helps

I recently had to replace a remote and rather than go the expensive official route, the pre-programmed, often limited function, universal cheapies (Woolworths) or the incredibly expensive universal/programmable options (Dixons, Maplins etc) I found this site:-

Not manufacturers' originals but full function decent quality alternatives.

ebay might be an idea, seen loads of manufacturer/model specific remotes on there. if no luck, add your model part number into 'favourite searches' and you'll get an email each time one comes up. As a popular tv, im sure you'll find one. hear is an example:

Remotes on Ebay

I recently noticed one seller on Ebay who had about 20 new remotes for sale, all from different makes and models.

And I'd always wondered why the RCs always seem to be missing from the TVs on display at my local Dixons!!
