J Lewis's "e-mail me when item in stock" service

As anyone used this service and got an e-mail reponse?

Was the item still in stock when you ordered it?

I used the service on a particular washing machine. I was emailed as soon as 1 became 'available' on the website. The washer didn't hang around for long, as I presume someone else had requested the same notification and snapped it up.
