Exclamation Philips 28DW6559 problem

just obught the tv mentioned in the title.

Problem is whenever i turn the tv on a get a loud screech from the rear of the tv - and the screech is permanent while the tv remains on, philips reckon this is normal within 6ft, but the thing is you can hear this screech 12ft away, with normal operating volume on the set.

And if you mute the volume - the screech is still present, its likely to give me hearing problems, i'm currently waiting for an engineer to look at the problem, but I would like to know if anyone else has a similar problem, or would like to know if any strange loud sounds come out the back their sets.

thank you

Hi
This symtom is not a uncommon fault with many TV's, usually one of many coils which ressonates and causes a "buzz or whistle".
