How good are the above and how do they compare to the best philips, sony, hitachi etc?

They are the same inside, the Vitros cheaper. They will please different tastes, I prefer the Vitros...

They are the best TVs I found, particularlly if you feed them with Component Video, that way they will do progressive scan, wich is combining the two interlaced images into one, much better colours and background detail, and less flickering...

I am totally smitten with my Loewe Vitros.

Best picture I have EVER seen. They look so real and lifelike, almost 3D!

Superb build and features. Has 3 RGB equipped scarts, can include a VGA module and connect a computer direct into it as well, picture in picture, you name it its probably got it.
