Post Toshiba WH08B

firstly apologies, as searching through the old posts I've seen how many times this this telly has come up. However, having my 40WH08B for two weeks now, I have noticed that in dark scenes (DVD using component) there is a fluctuating brightness on the left hand side. I've read that some owners have managed to get this fixed by a Tosh engineer. I was wondering if anybody here knows exactly what was done? as I was thinking about doing myself.

If I were to get an engineer, is there a direct way I could contact Toshiba or would I need to go through were I bought the TV from?

Thanks.

I have the 40WH08B RPTV and got a one year toshiba parts and labour warranty. There should be a contact number in the documentation supplied with the set.

Alternativley the dealer should have a contact number for toshiba support. They are probably familiar with the problem and it should be a straight forward on-site repair
