Well, RGB should be much better than composite and, according to you, on your television this isn't the case. If your sources are set to RGB and you are using good cabling, the likely conclusion is that there must be something wrong with the TV - poor QC at the big manufacturers (saving money) leads to TVs with problems hitting the market place. My own suffers from some convergence issues in the top left corner, but not bad enough for me to be too bothered about it. If mine had the sort of problem yours is suffering from though, I'd take it back.
