Radio on the telly....

After recently having a subscriber to cable, I find that I tend to listen to various radio stations on my 36in crt tv - as the screen is normally inactive, would reducing the tv's brightness and contrast prevent burning in of the radio stations logo/gfx?

It would reduce the screen burn yes - personally I linked the audio out from the cable box to a hi-fi or avr and then you can turn the tv off and prevent any problems
