Red, Amber, Green

I have a customer with a Panasonic TU-CT30 Freeview box. When the box is off, it's supposed to have a red light on the front, when it's on, it's supposed to have a green light on the front. What does an amber light mean?

Amber = Red + Green so it must be both on and off (?)

Maybe it's something like a timer standby mode for recording on an external device (VHS etc)?

My Pioneer goes from red to amber to green when switching on-must mean the box is "booting" up??
