The 1st one I had, that got replaced with a 2nd and the one in the Northampton Store, another in Dixons MILTON KEYNES and another in COMET MILTON KEYNES and they all had this problem.
Spoken to Sony Customer Service who is as much help as cafe on the moon and they deny any problems with this TV. I told them to come and take a look as the TV is only 2 weeks old but they would not unless i paid them to. HOW BAD IS THAT.
Only 2 weeks old, the next day the TV went bang and just now has a green screen with dark lines across it. its dead. its going back and I think Sony are crap and im not going to bother no more. New Panasonic 36" TV on its way

Every KP-44PX3 has it. You can read it in this review (PDF-Link):

The last lines say about it:
"Only two problems conspire with
the general brightness shortage to
stop the 44PX3U walking away with a
Best Buy commendation. One is the
tendency – especially with analogue
tuner pictures – for bright points on
the picture to send faint but noticeable
streaky echoes across the screen.
The other is the frequently visible
presence of blanking lines in the picture,
making us wish Sony had incorporated
an internal progressive display mode
of some kind."
Apart from that, they give the PX3 an excellent review! But I really can't understand, why EVERY Sony-Guy says: "We never heard of this problem". I mean, they can READ about it everywhere :-)
