Would any new owners of this TV care to comment on this set?
Have any magazine reviewed it yet and were they favourable?
I like the look of this one and it comes with the added bonus of being a 50Hz model!  |

Looking at this set myself too, took my dvd recorder into JL at weekend & playes various bits of Sky stuff & a DVD, it looked a nice picture. Still undecided between this one and Panny PM1 though. If it helps Johl Lewis will do it for £628'ish with 5 year warrantee & dvd player.

Has anyone on here bought this set and care to comment on it.
I saw one in COMET the other day and came away quite impressed.
However, I still have the Panasonic PM1 and Sony HX15 on my radar too.

Just bought one for my Dad.
Very nice set, usual poor performance via RF but via NTL Digital is very good. Didn't notice any geometery issues. Overall very impressed.
Any specific questions let me know but to be hinest it does what it says on the tin, and seems to do it very well.

I have been sent the 28Z44B as a prize from Tosiba and it seems fine. Only 1 RGB scart but have it in the lads bedroom with a PS2 and Phillips freeview box into a scart switcher and the picture is very good. Even with an indoor aerial. Not bad for nothing!

Just when I decide to make the purchase I discover that Currys sell the Toshiba 32Z47.
Where the hell did this come from? I can't find it anywhere else...

In the same boat myself.Looking for 50hz 32inch set with main source Sky +.Have found 100Hz looks smeary for footy. The "47B" is available from both comet & currys for £499 but they don't sell the "44Z". Same thing with another set I'm considering - philips PW6518. This is now £499 at comet but Jown Lewis online have the PW6618 at £649 (with 5 year gr) ?
Will get there eventually but all these numbers are doing my head in.

Bit more info. See owners manual at link below. "Z47" has virual dolby and base boost (?). Currys probably better place to buy , seem to have a 28 day collect and return if its duff. http://www.home-entertainment.toshib...4?opendocument  | |

Lovely DVD picture on my new 32Z44. Great looking set which doesn't waste time on gimmicks just straight to the point with viewing. Sound is good for ordinary TV viewing with decent bass and treble, I would'nt complain about it. Front flip down panel is a bit delicate as do the scart connections seem at the rear too. They move about a bit which I find unusual - don't want to touch them much, but this may just be the design.
For the time being I prefer the picture over any Plasma I've seen so I'm waiting for a while before I make the Plasma move!

Glad people think this is a good TV as I ordered one on saturday and expecting it to be delivered any day now, its replacing my 28' Bush which cant handle NTSC very well so hoping this Toshiba will solve that.
Out of interest does this set have the ability to rotate the picture? as my old set had a slight curve and it along with the NTSC problem is the reason for the upgrade.
