Can this TV be Saved

I have a really old Bush TV that I was using until my Nemos arrives.
The TV has recently started going into standby mode after about 20 mins or so of use. Yesterday the TV went into Standby mode and has remained so since.
Usually when I turn the Tv off for a few mins it starts to work but now nothing. When I turn the TV on the red light comes on but theres no picture or sound and no staticky noise that TV's make.
My question is: Is the TV doomed or can it be cheaply fixed?
When the new TV arrives I was going to stick this in my bedroom so I was hoping to save it.

Thanks
