Toshiba 3798 locked in standby !

Hi,
Any ideas on a problem that's occured to my Tosh 37" TV.
Mains Fuse blew while watching. Replaced fuse with new 5A.
TV powered back up, but in standby.
It will not respond to remote control to take out of standby, or any front panel buttons. It will power off and on from front ON/OFF switch but goes into standby each time ?
Any ideas gratefully welcomed, before I call out the repair man, this TV's about 3 years old and has got an (had ) excellent picture.

hi
i've got a 37" tosh stuck in stand-by in our work shop
we have had it for over a week and is this not coming out of stand-by
is there anyone out there with any info?
weir getting someone else to look into this on saturday so if no help from anyone on these forums i may have some info on monday
