TV with surround sound worth it?

Hi,

If I get a TV without surround sound and I get a dolby surround sound amp, when watching TV (say off a sky connection) will I be able to watch it in surround sound?

I was gonna get a toshiba TV picture frame 36 inch one with surround sound, but I wanted to get a seperate amp and speakers... So I'm thinking I may get another TV so I'm not paying for surround sound I won't use...

Anyway could you answer the top question please?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

You will indeed. Just connect the amp to the line outputs of the TV.
