Please recommend...

I am looking to buy a 28" widescreen in the £300-£500 price range. I have been reading this forum but don't understand lots of the technical terms. Please could someone give me some recommendations in plain English, and the pro and cons of the recommended models.

What is the differences between the 50Hz and 100Hz? Initially, I thought the 100Hz would provide a better quality and it would be a benefit to have it, but after reading several negative comments here I'm not too sure if my understanding is correct any more .

That's easier to do if you can tell us what you really value most in a TV - sound quality, adjustability, connections, low flicker, reliability, picture quality, nice cosmetic design...? Otherwise I think you'll just get a free-for-all with everyone recommending their existing telly, because it's what they like.

i recommend the JVC 28R25., after extensive research, and cause i have one
