Thomson WB643 HELP

I have read the threads wrt to this model and am REALLY REALLY impressed.
Just one query: can anyone advise on whether it is worth spending the extra £80 for the custom stand?
How does the TV sit on a table top or similar with its unusual under-belly (woofer) bulge?
Does the no-stand version have rubber feet or similar?
Can anyone tell me what the dimensions between the no- stand version legs are?
Grateful for any advice

Just hope the wife feels the same enthusiasm when she sees the bank balance

Hi, no answers to your questions, but have you considered the 32WB843? It is the same TV as the 643, but with an integrated stand. With it's black mirror finish, it's currently the best looking TV out there IMHO.

Looking at the stand the chrome bit down is the stand and above the chrome is actually part of the TV.

The bulge under the TV housing the subwoofer is also a mounting point. The lowest part of the bulge towards the back of the TV connects to the back of the stand.

The stand looks better in real life than in the pic and has some of the longest bolts I have ever seen holding it all together. Very well designed.

PS the Pic on the TV is AWESOME !!!!!!

Many thanks for taking the time to post and describe the pic. You have helped me make-up my mind.....I am now slavering at the prospect of placing my order and receiving the goods !! It's nice to see that the reviews are borne-out by REAL users experiences.

Thanks to you both
