NEC PF68S33 50Z Block

Ive just been given one of these TVs, and when I tried to tune it, it found all the channels OK and each channel flashed up the picture/audio while it was adding it. Once the channels were saved, I can only get the audio, and a blue screen that says "50Hz Block". I bought a freeview digibox today thinking that would work, but I get the same "50Hz Block" on all the AV inputs when its plugged in too.

Any ideas how I can get rid of this message? Google turned up absolutely nothing.

Not sure but is this not a model from Australia?Nec is big in oz.
There may be some settings in the menu as i believe this to be PAL/NTSC model.

Re: NEC PF68S33 50Z Block

Thanks for the reply. Yes I'm in australia just now.. The menu has the option to switch between NTSC and PAL but it doesnt make any difference. Audio is fine but it just doesnt seem to want to display a picture.. Tried it with a DVD player at the weekend too and it was the same..

The TV was removed from a working installation, and was one of 10 being retired.. Im sure its just a setting or something somewhere but it must be a secret menu as its nothing on the remote or in the manual or google.

It seems odd that you can see menus but not normal transmissions.I agree that there must have been a settings change as it worked previously - unless it was set up for some type of cable transmission?
