Need new positor

HI ALL

I have a Bush 2179TSIL CRT TV that needs a new positor as it has degaussing problems. The part number is MZ73BLL9RM (PS601) on the board.

Can anyone tell me where to obtain a spare as I am having difficulty in locating one? Any help would be welcomed!

Many Thanks!

Re: Need new positor

There is another you could try Grandata .Sometimes it better to `phone some of these companies though than trying to trawl through the site. They don`t always list everything on there site.Go to your local tip and scrounge a chassis!!

Re: Need new positor

Yes I've found many a spare part from scrap TV's, sometimes components are so obsolete its the only way. Charles Hyde have some that are almost equivalent, but I'm not sure if they'd be safe to use. Search the site for 'ptc bush' and 'ptc beko'.

Re: Need new positor

HI GUYS

Thanks for your replies! I have tried Chas Hyde....no joy there I'm afraid, and YES it does have THREE pins. I do have some old boards from TV's in my workshop, but I'm just not sure if I'll find what I'm looking for there.

Is there anything special about my dodgy positor? I just don't know!

Yes, the last part of the type no "9RM"...the 9 is its resistance in ohms, anything around 9 (plus or minus a couple) of ohms should do.
