Question 32" 100hz Widescreen < 650quid ???

Need to recommend a telly to my dad. He has found a Sanyo telly in dixons for £650. I told him to hold fire, and wait till I checked out some more options for him. Didn't realise I was jumping into such a can o worms.

He needs a telly with a stand (2 shelves).
He has a dvd/DTS receiver thingy already, so just a nicam stereo set will do.

Anyone seen any good offers recently?

Cheers Rich. You even found the site with the lowest price

Anyone got any other suggestions ?

It would seem there is quite a premium on 100Hz. Should there be?

50Hz vs 100Hz is a very subjective. It's probably best to take a look for yourself to see which you prefer. Personally I'm a 50Hz fan - can't stand the digital processing side effects.

For some other opinions, try:

50Hz vs 100Hz

and

100hz vs 50hz tv's

Brilliant links Gary. Thanks.
I read as much as I could bear, and it would seem that a 50Hz set would be fine. My dad's current set is 50Hz and he's never noticed a flicker, so it looks as if he doesn't need the faster refreshes.

So, it looks like I need to find a nice 32" widescreen 50Hz model.
Back to the search engines then.

Thanks gb. I did a lot of digging around this afternoon, and I think it's gonna be the JVC AV-32T25.
It has good reviews, and fewer bad ones than even the panny.

Thanks for your help everyone. I'll post a review when he buys it.
