Lookin for best 28" tv for Xmas present

Hi,
I'm looking to purchase a 28" Widescreen TV, for a Xmas present.
Can anyone recommend any websites/stores that can give me the best value for money on a tight budget (350-450).

Is it better to wait until January sales or does it not make much difference? The only one i've seen so far is the panasonic 28PS1 the cheapest ive seen is £379 (i thought was very good) how good of a TV is this? Any others you would recommend?

Thanks in advance

I'm also hoping to by a 28" tv in the next few days, and am totally lost by the range of tv's out there. There are three Panasonics that have caught my eye:

1. 28PC1 - mentioned above
2. 28PC5 - I think that this is jut the PC1 with surround sound
3. 28PC12 - the 100HZ version

One of my mates has a 28" Philips which he is delighted with. I'm tempted b the PC5 but was hoping that someone out there may be able to point me in the right direction.
