TX 32PD30 service menu

I've been trying to access this service menu following the instructions in the problem thread by dtsrules. The instructions were

Bass=Full
Treble=none
press -/v under the flap and hold on the remote


When I do this I don't get anything. Can anyone give me any pointers to where I might be going wrong? I'm very happy with the quality of the picture except that the geometry is very poor and on the left side of the screen there is significant over scanning.

You need to set bass to full, treble to min, hold down -/v under the flap and then press index on the remote.

Many thanks. Can access it now and it looks to be simple enough to work. Will get the test disc out later in the week when the wife's out (she gets a little agitated when I start tweaking the picture).
