SONY KD28DX 200U Repair

Can anyone tell me if I can get my KD28DX200u Repaired. I have no picture or sound after accident resulted in water dripping onto TV. It was a very small amount of water which landed just on behind a small brown circuit board with X4D20 on it. When switching on power led turns green as normal and after a few mins starts flashing red and green. If anyone could advise how I could find out if it is beyond repair I would be very grateful.

Re: SONY KD28DX 200U Repair

You don't say how soon after the water spillage it was switched on.
If it was just a small amount of water the usual procedure is just to wait until it has evaporated before applying power...this process can be speeded up by playing a hairdryer on a low heat setting on the affected area of the circuit board...with the set unplugged of course.
If this doesn't work there's probably a short-circuited component or two...you would need to call on the services of a TV repairman and get an estimate for repair.
