SONY KD-28DX200U / KD-32DX 200U Software Version

Hi

My SONY KD-28DX200U has

software version: r3.10[GB]

Loader: V2.00

Can anyone tell me if this is the latest please.

I've recently tried a manual tune to add a "channel" to my line up. The channel is added then when I try and added another channel, again using manual tune the first that I added is lost. Then when I add this again the previous is lost..

I darenot delete what is already there historically.....for obvious reasons!

Thanks

Hi,

Yes this is the latest on my KD- 32DX200 - it was loaded by a Sony service centre following the download of the new software failed.

Version r3.10 [GB]

Loader v2.00

Hope this helps

Think I have found the problem which appears to lack of memory resources in the KD-28DX200U

If I add one channel at a time using the manual scanning method then all is OK until I have added about 36 channels. After which I can't add anymore.

Its as if the memory resources are exhausted.

By the manual method you can place a channel at the storage place of your wish. Thus lining up the channels in a "nice order" i.e. BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, ITV 1, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, CH4, CH4+1 etc rather than the "adhoc" order you get with an automatic scan.

Of course you also have to manually add 105 for "red button" and the likes of 301, 302, 303, 305 plus the teletext channels so that the interactive works.

So the only solution appears to be to do an "automatic Scan" which captures all of the channels, then manually delete those that you don't want and those which need a subscription card and "live with" the fact that the channels line up is not in a "nice order".

I have concluded that saving channels with "automatic Scan" uses less memory resources than adding channels manually.

If that is the situation it looks like another case of SONY being short sighted with respect to supporting DVB-T in this receiver.

Intrested to hear if anyone else has experienced the same
