Great deal and Scan have always been very good, shame citylink are so useless! Had quite a few occasions now where items have turned up several days late and damaged in transit, Scan even complained directly to Citylink.

I know other people who had similar issues with them. The only reason Scan use them is because they are cheap. I know of other companies that dont use them anymore because they would never deliver on time.

Cant really fault Scan though

Northern Ireland is classed as Mainland UK isn't it?

As far as I remember NI even has UK phone dialling codes, so this should be ok for you.

Thats actually a pretty good incentive, and for that I thank you (or at least I will once I hit 20 posts). The one thing that usually puts me off ordering from Scan is their postage... I'm not complaining, its next-day, after all, just tends to be pointless for smaller items...

Alas, I couldn't wait for my 20th post and I didn't have anything constructive to say, so I've gone ahead and ordered my components anyway. £10 delivery - if I look at it as I've saved a ~£1 fine per pointless post I'd have had to have made, its worth it.

NI definately can't be classed as mainland, theres a whole sea in the way!

can anyone clarify? Shame, would have been a good saving!

I'm certain I've sent stuff to NI via Royal Mail Special Delivery before, which is guaranteed next day delivery.

BT also give NI UK numbers of 01/02 etc.

My order should be delivered today and yet my order status says it's still not even been picked and definitely not dispatched

What a load of rubbish. One can only presume if you take up this free delivery offer you get put to the bottom of the pile, behind the customers who paid for delivery. Wished i'd have just paid now

Have now received an email stating there's a delay with the goods. And they have the audacity to attach a terms and conditions document to the email, just in case one was thinking about complaining I suppose?????

Years of buying from ebuyer, dabs, ccl and never a problem. First order placed with scan and they dont deliver. Wont be using again, free delivery or no free delivery

Received a PM from "Nelley" at Scan. I've replied with the requested details both by PM and email.

No reply so far, guess they knock off early

No way of knowing now if i'm to expect the delivery tomorrow either, should i take another day off work..... hmmm, i think not

You'd think when touting for business and pushing your services on a public forum, and offering incentives to shop there, they'd at least be able to get it right for the new influx of customers willing to give it a try. Otherwise the customer might just harp on about how bad the experience was and find it impossible to recommend that supplier to others.
