Maybe it is for real, however.
1) No one on here has ever mentioend using silocone to seal bits up.
2) I have read this same windup at least 10 times before on various forums.
3) Not being funny but those parts are over 2 years old at the very least, hardly cutting edge that you have put together in the last year.
If its real, call ur insurance company and tell them you dropped in in the bath while giving it a autum clean.

2)Furthermore with 400k views it is very likely that those that were seen on other forums are just a replication of this one. You have to check the dates on those other ones and to make sure that they aren't older than this one.
3) 02-12-2002, 12:52 PM was the date that this was posted. So it was 2yrs 8mo ago that this thread was started. So even had it been real the computer would have been at least that old.

Talk about a blast from the past Where did this come from again?
BTW, I'm almost ready to give this a try again. I've just got my motherboard laminated. The only holdup now is the trouble I'm having getting the PSU through the laminating machine

Only found it last night...best half hour's reading I've had for ages!
It just goes to prove that the Irish are indeed the Master Race, because Conor has brilliantly showed up the gullability of half the world!

Only the use of the word "Retards" pushed me to reply
If you read the post in full you would realise that I was posting messages from a PC in work

I reopened it only to find a retard like Shelephant does the typical first post-instant ban type reply.
It's an entertainaing thread which might be fun to revisit.

It's funny how an internet forum enables people to use language that would result in an assault charge if used face to face. 'retard' must be the most unPC (excuse the pun) word left in the dictionary. Just being taken in by a great joke doen't even make you stupid. Come to that, it probably makes you racist, considering Comer's country of origin.

Gas power..... mmmmmm with gas and electricity you can redesign your house with the flick of a switch. If you can get the water out of the PC first.
