Come, Obviously it's too late for the last rites, but you could make it a coffin and give it a decent burial. Alternatively you could perhaps sell the remains to the tate modern, enter it for the Turner prize, think of a suitable title and then you've got £20k to buy yourself a new PC and a decent PJ as well, perhaps you could invest in a pair of rubber gloves in case you feel the need to experiment further.

Thumbs up

Absolutely superb, I don't know which was funnier Comers account or the number of replies that said this is a joke isn't it!!!

Personally Comer rather than just going for the water cooling I think you should had powered you PC by natural gas too. You could take one of the 1 inch diameter pipes someone else mentioned and shoved it up the ass of the nearest cow. We do have quite a few in the emerald isle.

Comer if you are a city dweller without access to cows, cats and dogs will do the same job although, you may need to set us as many as twenty of these in parallel as they just dont produce much gas. Feeding them a diet of Beans and cabbage does help considerably!

And the worst of it is that I still haven't told the wife that the PC I spent so much money and time on is shagged.

BTW I won't delete this thread until Kramer sees it. I suppose it wasn't his fault It was a stupid thing to do but it is only fair that he see it since I mentioned his name in the title

I am actually interested that anybody could still think that this is a wind-up. I mean I'm not a total idiot (as some of your unkind replys would suggest) I did wrap the power supply unit in cling film plastic wrap before I filled it with water

I have two beautiful children and before you suggest it, no, neither of them are called "Forrest"

I'm at work, waiting to give a night class and I don't think that I'll be going near these computers with any water

Gas power, a great idea! My disovery is gas powered too. I filled that up with water the other w/e, but it was all ok, kds still complaining about the wet seats though. Can't Comer supply enough gas himself?

There are a few supposed first time posters who registered today to contribute to this thread.

I think that I'll have to check all if the IP's logged against my database to see who these people really are.

Sorry mate, but if you're indeed NOT pulling our collective leg, what then did you think would happen?!?!? To the best of my knowledge, HDD's are not waterproof. Did you try to encase ALL of your molex connectors as well? I mean seriously now. People who watercool have a certain amount of "tech savvy" and usually do so to a secondary PC as an experiment. The caveats that go along with hosing down your computer's internals are so great, why would you risk this procedure on a brand new system? Pal, you learned an expensive lesson, but the ribbing you are taking for it is because you did it to yourself...

I'd like to be a fly on the wall when you tell the little woman what you did...

Don't let him near gas

I would suggest that in the future, you use only pedal power for your PC's. Simply attach a bicycle wheel to the PSU, suspend the back wheel of the bike above the ground and get your wife to pedal (that is: if she hasn't left you by the time you get a new PC).

But in all seriousness - If you are working with electricity in future, you should always make sure you are grounded properly to avoid electric shock. The safest way to do this is to stand in a bucket of water.

I've just had a look at the number of views that this thread has had, almost 2000 since lunch time. I know that most of u are just laughing at me but maybe some little good could come of my disaster, is there a record for the number of views in a certain length of time.

And for those of you that are laughin at me think long and hard, have u never done anything stupid in your entire lives. Even groundy doesn't believe me any more.
