dos boot cd with ntfs reader?

Hi

Has anyone created a dos boot cd, with an ntfs reader included (to mount and read ntfs partitions), and willing to share?. I've been trying to find one and going round in circles.

thanks
joe

Basically i have a laptop with a corrupted copy of XP on it (wont boot into windows, even in safe mode). There is no cd with it, but there is a genuine cd key label on the underside. However, from experience i know that this cd key is not always the one used when the windows image was installed, especially with a lot of the larger brand names. So i managed to find a dos based cd keyfinder, but the partitions are ntfs, and so i needed something to be able to mount and make those recognisable in dos - hence the boot cd.

its actually irrelevant now, for this particular job, as i found out that a repair install wasent an option - as it turns out, the windows was more corrupted than i thought. But it would be handy to have the boot cd for the future.

Re: dos boot cd with ntfs reader?

IIRC BartPE allows you interact and loads custom programs on it. Might be worth a shot mate.
