Windows Media Player 12 Remote Library

Hi,

I have a large (60Gb) music collection. I can play files fine over my home network (HomePlug). However, I wanted to view the entire library on one computer which is stored on another computer. When I try to do this, only a tiny portion of the library appears on the remote computer. It seems as if the operation to build the remote library is timing out over the network!

Is there any way to "force through" the library so i can see it all?

thanks

I think it depends on your OS on both machines.
Need to map the remote hd and add to music library (W7)

Hi.

I mapped the drive and it is S L O W L Y adding the files to my library. I can see why the autmatic remote library function might have timed out! I guess doing it your way, windows is more persistant... well let's see if it finishes!

thanks anyway
