@ Steve_P; whats that long Gadget with the application icons in it? Some sort of shortcut manager? I'd like something like that rather than having shortcuts on my desktop, in fact if thats not what it is I'll just code one myself lol

ps. don't worry about all the haters, its your desktop afterall! Most people use their pc's for the applications, not to just turn it on to look at the desltop

Not a hater at all

Just think some people over clutter their desktops, and then it stops being a desktop and just something to put random junk on. Again my opinion. It'll be no surprise to learn that everything on my PC is neatly organised

That being said, I plan to install Rainmeter tonight and see how I get on with it.

I keep my desktop and computer tidy but am finding the gadgets useful

Thumbs up Re: Your Windows 7 desktop. *Please don't quote with images*

Remember I was saying that Windows 7 didn't need skinning as it was beauitful as is? Well that was until I found the Clearscreen Sharp for Windows 7 theme. It really rocks, check it out. The image below doesn't to it justice.

(click to make bigger, click here if you can't see the above image)

The theme is applied with the help of a great little program started by Rafael Rivera. It's called UxStyle. Much safer than the old hacking away at the uxtheme.dll's

Bloody RainMeter is now wayyy complicated than it was in the past. I would have to invest a whole day to set the damn thing up. No thanks!

App Launcher V3

Windows Live Gallery

It's an icon dock gadget and I really like it. I used it to remove the splatter of icons roaming my desktop.

Heh Don't worry, I don't worry about haters at all.

All from DeviantArt mate. Just search for the game name under icons, and you'll find the guy that does these huge packs with every game you can think of.

Do you call that uncluttered because icons are stacked in rows?

Literally hours of trawling on DeviantArt mate. I'll see if I can dig up a link for you.

Edit* Quick searching turned this up, no idea how I found the version I've got.
