USB / Removable Drive Protection

Hi

Does anyone know of a free/cheap way to password protect/encrypt the data sorted on my USB drive.

Also I will be using my pen mainly in internet cafe's and have heard there are programmes that can be executed from a removable drive which will remove any trace of me / my data on the computer.

Any help much appreciated.

Richard

If you're using the apps from the PC it will be tricky to make sure you remove all traces from the local temp/caches. Consider running your own apps directly from the USB drive. That way you can configure them to only ever store things to your drive not the HDD.
See PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB drives

I've not used it, but TrueCrypt should do what you want.
