Are hewlett packard monitor any good?

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of buying a HP PC monitor as my old one is on it's last legs. Are they worth buying?
Will be using it mostly to view internet sites, Word and Spreadsheets.

Thanks

Jazz

Re: Are hewlett packard monitor any good?

I bought an HPw2228h a few months ago and have been really pleased with it. Was going to buy a Samsung but decided on HP after comparing various monitors at a well known computer store. The HP knocked the socks off all the others by a mile! My only concern was reflection (HP monitors have a shiny screen)-totally unfounded and have never had any problems in this area.
Would thoroughly recommend!!!

Re: Are hewlett packard monitor any good?

I just bought an HP w2228h today. WOW! Very impressed with it. Stunning PQ. Just replaced a Samsung 20" 16:10 screen.

Detail level in Left 4 Dead was Really on the ball. Seeing things i like little green bright bits when you kill the smokers.

Was looking at many before i bought today. Had a very big grin on my mug. Connected via HDMI to my SLI'd GTX260 Black Editions.

Contrast is excellent. Bright whites, and very good blacks. Due to the glass effect screen i guess.

PS Good for word and Excel, as you can tilt the monitor on its side. Auto tilt software comes in the box.
