Hi,i am trying to burn a mvk file with size 6.50 Gb to a dvd9 and when i try it says that the file exceeds the maximum file size and wouldnt let me burn it. Is the problem in the software i am using or is there a size limit for single file on dvd9? Hope it makes sence what i am saying

Are you just trying to copy the file to the disc as a backup or do you want to create a DVD that will play in any DVD player?
An MKV is just a container that could have any number of different audio & video files in it. A playable DVD disc can only have SD MPEG-2 files on it so you may need to convert the MKV contents to be able to create the DVD. This conversion could cause the files to become too large to fit on the disc without you manually setting the compression settings. I don't know the program you are using so can't help with how to do this.

Mark.
