Case fans - any recommended?

Hi

Im still using a micro ATX tower case that only has a single 80mm rear exit fan.

I'd like to fit a intake fan on the front to help the cooling side of things, there is a space for a 92mm fan.

I have the Asus M5A78L M LX motherboard, this only has one x 3 pin case fan output, can I safely use a splitter cable to run 2 fans from the 1 connector?

Is there any recommended quiet 80mm & 92mm fans available out there worth buying?

Cheers in advance

Lee

Yes a 3-pin fan spitter will be perfectly fine to use.

Used this 80mm fan in my HTPC and it works well and is very quiet. Very impressed by it actually for the price.

Xilence Red Wing Quiet Fan - 80mm

I've used a couple of Gelid Silent 9s to replace the stock fans in my HP SFF machine - for me they're very quiet whilst not being ridiculously expensive. Granted, they're not Noctuas, but at £5 a pop they are very decent!

Silent 8 / Silent 9

These are four pin fans so you would need a female 3-pin to dual male 4-pin adaptor.

Those Gelid's do look good for the price.

Cheers guys.

Got a couple of Xilence Red Wing's on order, an 80mm & a 92mm.

The 80mm fan for the exhaust ill just run of the motherboard, the 92mm fan for the intake im tempted to run direct of a spare Molex.

Only got the 80mm one so far & fitted it, it seems fine, can hardly hear it running.

Im still waiting on the 92mm fan to turn up for the intake.

Once the motherboard & cpu are out of warranty ill do something about the stock AMD cooler
