Iron Man MkVII

I've just seen these pictures of the Kotobukiya MkVII over at SSF. This looks amazing!!! Looks a lot better than the MkIV I have. But I would still rather have the HT version! Makes me want to start collecting IM again

I have to admit he does look good though...I expect we will see a Hot Toys figure not too long after Avengers hits the cinema

I know I am! I just can't make up my mind. I just see a figure and am instantly hooked because it looks so good, so I want to start collecting that line. Iron Man is my second favourite film (behind Fight Club) so it is the line I should collect really. But I still say that my Pred and Jack Sparrow are better quality than IM! I still have my MkV, and at the moment I am torn...Tumbler, MkI or Classic Pred.

Lol

Well if Iron Man is way up there on the list of movies then I do feel you need to collect what you love.
My first love is Transformers so I tend to go crazy for anything they make that's G1 related & that's always the first thing I'd spend my money on so I know how you feel.

I agree on Jack feeling better...my MkIV feels pretty plasticky compared to Jack but I think that's down to the clothing & the fantastic sculpts.
Iron Man is always going to be a bit plasticky just because he is supposed to be armour.

If it was me I think I'd go with either Tumbler or Mk1 as I'm not really a fan of the Predator line

If I could afford the Tumbler then it would be that all day long but seeing as it costs almost the same as the other 2 figures put together I'd go for the Mk1 & if I had the cash get the Pred as well
2 Figures is surely better than one vehicle that will be nigh on impossible to display lol

I received the Classic predator yesterday and think you'll deffinately like that one, lots of detail and mixed materials.
The Mark I might be a good one to go for too as he doesn't feel light and cheap like the other suits do.

If Hot Toys do a Mk VII like in the pics above I'll deffinately get it, will need one to go with the Avengers group, which is a cert seeing as they have just showed a teaser of Nick Fury

Yer I saw the Nick Fury teaser this morning. The other characters from The Avengers line up don't bother me too much, they're all lame in comparison to IM Plus the films weren't as good (I never read any of the comics)

I think I have to think really hard about which line I should go for, I want too many which is the problem, but until I finish Uni and get a job, I can't really afford to spread out too much.

Very true! There are just so many lines But either way, the MkVII looks like the best Mk so far to me (if that's truly what he will look like in the film).

I prefer the MkIV and VI to this, the whole shoulder area of the MkVII puts me off

I think it's a nice addition. Makes him look more "buff" an tougher.

I have no idea what that is haha. I'm just glad there will be a different version for The Avengers. Hopefully the will be a MkVIII in the same film and then IM3 brings us MkIX-XII

Really dont like the Mark VII, dunno if it's the Silver quad pieces, the bulky shoulders, the bit of gold on the chest piece, the going back to the circular arc reactor.... actually it's all of it!!

Hot Toys figure is going to have to be something significantly better for me to be interested (still hoping for a new Mark VI with a new Tony Stark headsculpt and then that'll do me for Iron Man from the Avengers line)

Hmm see to me he just looks so much more boss. I think it will make him look a lot more stronger next to the Hulk too. I'm glad someone else thinks the Tony Stark sculpt from MkIV and MkVI aren't that great. I don't really think it looks anything like RDJ.

woah there I never said that! I really like the head sculpt that comes with the Mark IV, in fact its a big reason why the Mark IV is my favourite Hot Toys Ironman figure! I just think we need a new one that's all, I'm not a fan of the half head sculpts inside the helmet so given that the Mark IV is the only figure to give us a full RDJ head sculpt (ignoring the mech test) I think it's about time we had another one

Surprised you don't think the mark IV looks like RDJ though, I think it's one of Hot Toys best

Haha fair enough, I jumped the gun a bit. I just don't think it looks much like him. But the MkI 2.0 and the Mech Test head sculpts are really good!

The more I look at the the more it looks like a step between the MkVI & the Hulk Buster Armour.

I'm wondering if we might even seen the Hulk Buster armour in the Avengers.

It's got the beefed up look over the MkVI but not quite as beefy as the Hulk Buster is so it might be a change to see what's possible then create the Buster to beat Hulk down towards the end of the film??
