Loving the Baby Doll Viper she looks awesome.

Have you got Rocket on order as well??

I'm VERY tempted lately by the HT Amber & Baby Doll but I'm not sure I should start another line with the Avengers figures on the Horizon & the '89 Batman stuff on order already, not to mention the threat of more Transformers Masterpiece figures looming.

She's quite a large statue, bigger then I thought she would be, I decided not to continue with the other girls as I didn't favor the movie much, and they would all need a large shelf to themselves, I do have the Hot Toys on order though; hopefully they'll complete the rest of the gang in this line, more collector friendly in regards to space.

Sorry to hear she's so big...she looks amazing though.

I might wait then to see your Hot Toys one's when they arrive...I'm sure then you'll have me scrabbling for the Buy button as soon as I do lol

Yeah I hope they finish the line as well.
Would be a shame if all they do are Baby & Amber & forget about them just to pump out more Iron Man or Predator figures.

Is it me or is this 20% tax crippling your collections?

What sort of things are you looking for??
Hot Toys have the new 12" 1989 version Batman & Joker due soon these are coming in at between £180-£200 each.

If you don't mind splurging big money then Sideshow are releasing the Premium Format Joker statue
He's going to be about 24" tall but runs at about £250

If those might be too big or expensive then I'm currently also collecting the Batman Black & White statues.
These are about 6-7" tall & only cost around £50-£70 each depending on statue.

Not really noticed it myself.
Most of what I buy is from UK suppliers anyway so pretty much everything is already pre-paid VAT.

I'm going to notice it though when the Joker Premium Format ships next year & I see the bill from Fedex lol

Did anybody buy Baby Doll or Amber direct from Sideshow and did you have to pay 20% tax?

don't think the hot toys ones that sideshow are distributing are released yet

would be surprised if it isn't the normal 20% plus a tenner vat bill for them when they do ship

Sorry guys I meant to ask did anybody buy the babydoll or amber statue direct from Gentle Giant and did you have to pay the 20% tax?

The only reason I am asking is a while back I got 2 pgm exclusives busts from Gentle Giant and paid no tax as the value shown was very low but can't remember how much

Think I'm going to have to replace my recently sold Mark VI with the Mark V. The level of detail on that thing is amazing!!!

Where did you get yours from Viper?

been a while since I photographed anything I'd bought but picked up a bargain the other week and thought I'd take a few pics to share saying its halloween

I'd been looking for the statue for over a year now but kept balking at the price it was going for untill I managed to pick it up along with the 6 mini busts in a buy it now for less than I'd been willing to pay for the statue on its own

and although I've had these for a while, they where more than a little dissappointing (to put it mildly) when I got them and having collected quite a few over the years, many of which are very good, these are the ones that have managed to put me off collecting mini-busts

I'm keeping it simple, no interest in backdrops, etc.

A handy hint, if you haven't already done so... He's wearing massive underwear, which hinders the trousers from sitting as natural as they should, nice and baggy. Get rid of them.

And here's his buddy, with water treated and slightly modified hood:

Hmmm that does seem a bit odd for the package to arrive like that.
Not how my Iron Man arrived.

Yep I had the same when I received my Iron Man MkIV...it was like trying to get into Fort Knox with the packaging & took me a good 20 minutes just to get a seam started so I could open the outer box lol

Honestly I wouldn't worry Breaker that isn't normally how they arrive.

I'll take some shots of the whole thing when Cap arrives just for your piece of mind lol

My Batman/Bruce Wayne arrived just in the shipping box as well and that was from SSC

How are people expecting them to be shipped?

Well like Cbiddle said my Iron Man MkIV which was shipped from OSB as well came in a huge outer box that had so much packaging inside that an egg would have arrived perfectly without a scratch on it.

It really was wrapped & double wrapped.

I know SSC just use the brown shipping boxes to send but to me that just doesn't seem quite sturdy enough & prefer mine wrapped the way OSB do.
At least that way thieving postmen don't know what's in the package.

It didn't take me 20mins to open it

I thought it was general knowledge, that Sideshow and many other companies just use the shipping boxes? Although, this is the first I've received from an Asian seller and the shipping for Jonesy wasn't cheap.

No customs fee.

I've just discovered OSB and I'm tempted to get babydoll as my first extravagant piece on the lay-away thing. Do you guys know of anywhere else that does that kind of thing? That isn't sideshow?

There are 2 others I know of...

The Good the Bad & The robots:
The Good The Bad And The Robots

Collectibles Direct:
Collectiblesdirect.co.uk--The best place for your collectibles, statues, action figures from movies, video games, comics

Collectibles Direct offer a proper full on payment scheme.
On Pre-orders pay a deposit & then you get up to 4 months after the product comes in stock to pay the balance.
You can pay chunks off as you go by just buying "Flexpay Currency" and that is taken off the total of your order.

Explanation of their Flexpay scheme here...
http://www.collectiblesdirect.co.uk/FLEXPAY

Their prices are higher than most but with this option it does make it more attractive.

Cheers Neil! Much appreciated mate. I think I may have to use collectibles direct. They seem the better option. Even if it is more expensive it's more flexible on payment.
