Finally got my dispatch for this from SS! What is your guys advice? I have decided to sell him on more or less straight away as I don't want to disperse into too many lines, but should I check to see if everything is ok? Or keep him sealed?

Seriously mate if you're impressed with the quality of your Predator this will blow you away!! I wouldn't worry about this possibly leading you into another line either as there's not going to be any more POTC figures that are as must own as this one.

You seem to be selling all your Iron Man figures anyway

Well I just decided to test the water on my IM figure. Not too fussed about selling it. I was just so impressed with the Berserker that it left me quite disappointed with IM Which is a shame as in my opinion IM>Predator in terms of coolness haha!

The only actual thing that is sealed is the Brown shipper...the actual colour box isn't sealed so you won't reduce his value by at least looking at him lol

Honestly you won't be disappointed with him...he's the best looking figure I've ever seen.

Can't go wrong with the new Preds that are coming out mate

I have Shadow Predator, Waiting on Classic and i will get Tracker/Berserker Falconer then all the new releases.

They just look amazing all grouped together

The price HT's figures are these days the Predator's all look far too similar for my liking, I mean I'd be extremely reluctant to have to pay £150 for the Falconer just to complete the line. That's just me though

No it's not I'm the same

There are so many variations of the same thing with the Predators it was the one line that Hot Toys do that just has no interest for me.

Every other line they have released has at least one character I would love to own but Predators...nah just don't do it for me.

I'd sooner have Jack over any Predator but that's just my opinion...they do look good but the Neca 18" line would be just as good for me as the HT figures.

If your a fan of the piece, no harm taking a look to see what you think of him, otherwise keep him sealed and sell him on.

If you don't have to sell him straight away and because he's still very available everywhere, wait a while for his price to increase, you'll get back what you spent that way and hey, should you ever change your mind in that time you can get him out. This guy won't lose value not Jacky boy.

Keep him MINT & Sealed to get more £££, even though he has so much detail, I don't see there being defects, none reported. Open the brown shipper and some will instantly see it as second hand and played with, they'll just seek him at a retailer at this point in time.

One of Hot Toys best human figs IMO.

Lol don't worry about the quality...all my photos come out way worse than that & I spent stupid money on a Nikon D40 D-SLR & it didn't help at all

Yer he is an awesome sculpt! He looks tiny next to Beseker and Mark V! Kind of makes me wonder which direction to go in now (again!) If I go all out Pred, he will look random, all out IM, he will look random and a mix of Pred + IM, he will look random haha. So do I spread out? I'm so confused haha. My fiancee knows how much I spent on Jack though...she was not impressed! Haha, I was stood opening the box, and with every snip of the scissors cutting the sellotape, she was saying "£20 gone", "another 10" etc haha.

Little disappointed as there is a small tear in the box he came in. Where the "flap" is, at the bottom, its about an inch long

I wouldn't worry about the box mate, tears and dings are natural with packaging in this hobby.

Shame about the box but I wouldn't worry too much like Viper said they are the pitfalls of the hobby.

My Iron Man MkIV & Captain America both have slight damage to the boxes but the figures were fine & that's all that matters really.

Glad you are pleased with him though.

I'm with Viper as well varied displays are the way forward.

Lol that's quite a mean thing your Fiancee was doing...he won't devalue quite that much & will be a grail piece IMO

I think a pitfall of getting into Hot Toys is that you can never just stick to one line

I started out with one cabinet, the cheapest thing we could find on eBay and was going to get Batman only. Now if I had to sell one figure from my collection my Batman is probably the one I'd let go.

Besides in your case Natty you've sold 3/4's of your Iron Man collection now

EDIT: One piece of silver lining though is that these items never decrease in price so you'll almost always get your money back for them at some point and in a lot of cases make a bit on top
