No, it's not a cheap way to finish these figures. This is where Enterbay started, with articulated figures, the plastic 'statues' came later, (yeah, they are plastic, not the famous 'polystone', which in my opinion is not much better). I have some figures with rubber skins on the arms and though it might look cool, it really limits the amount of articulation at the elbows. Many collectors aren't keen on rubber skins because they are concerned about splitting, cracking, or perishing of the skin on their very expensive collectible. Prime examples are the rubber dome on ED209 splitting (mine is still okay) and the paint flaking of the rubble bodies of the Alien Warrior figures.

I'm not sure how they decide which have rubber skins. My Hellboy figure has a rubber body and arms, including the shoulders, the only visible joint is on the neck. It looks cool, but the articulation is severely limited. On the other hand I recently received the Hot Toys exclusive Bruce Lee set from Sideshow, and which it has a rubber body, all the joints are visible and it has much greater articulation.

And if you think these are glorified action men, you don't know much about this area of collecting at all. Take a look at www.onesixthwarriors.com.

Haha my 'glorified Action Men' always rubs someone up the wrong way. I don't mean it to cause any offence, just my opinion which I am entitled too

As I've said on here many times before, I never have been a fan of the whole 1/6 figure line and it annoys me that so much detail goes into these figures when you compare them to many of Sideshows/HCG's/etc statues and busts that they 1/6 knock 10 tonnes of crap out of them and never understand why Sideshow and the like don't try to apply the same amount of detail to their products.

IMO the whole 'plastic' statue thing is fine for me. The perfect example is the 'Enter the Dragon Bruce Lee 1/4' from Enterbay. This is a superb piece and one that I am very proud to have in my collection, plus the price is much less compared to the likes of a Sideshow 1/4 PF.

On a side note, I've not bought anything from Sideshow in a long time (still waiting for their next killer T2 piece), but their prices seemed to have shot up!!

As with this, I will of course wait to see the full product detail, I was just hoping it was going to be along the lines of the Bruce Lee line. But with the jacket on you're not going to see the joints anyway, so if the whole thing looks good (big fan of the sculpt apart from the moon forehead) and the price is nice I may be buying it.

Ah, I thought you were speaking out of ignorance rather than just trolling.

Sideshow prices have shot up, and on many items you now have a non returnable deposite of 10% to pay. I suppose it stops the "I'm ordering now but may cancel later" mentality, but if you really want to be sure of getting one, you have to order before you have seen the production piece.

The Enterbay T2 looks good up to now. I wonder why none of them seem keen on producing a battle damaged version of the T2 figure that everyone is clamouring for?

Looks awesome
So glad I waited for this one.

I hope we also get the striped arm. The fact that there is a knife in the weapons makes me think so but there was a mention on the EB Facebook page that there will be an exclusive extra for those that order at this show. And the arm kind of looks like it is put to one side and has its own note with it.

Hopefully there will be confrimation of what both dispaly cards say.

I'll make an exception with this one providing the price is decent enough

Might even be enough for me to get rid of my Sideshow PF

it does look very good. I'm sure it'll be out of my price range though I'm more used to the Neca figure prices! Even their new Predator is too expensive for me but luckily i have a birthday coming up..

My 1/4 Enterbay Bruce was about £160ish IIRC. If this is the same price I'll be a happy man!
