Panasonic announces Flagship ZT Series

It's goodbye to GT

We're not sure if this is purely a spot of model manoeuvering or a genuine new flagship model, in terms of picture quality, but Panasonic has replaced the VT at the top of the plasma food chain with the new ZT series.

The VT60 moves down the ranks a notch whilst the ST60 series will still represent the value entrant. All models will feature Panasonic's new 'My Home Screen', it's new portal for smart and connected activities.

We're going to break down the full range in another item.

Lost connection when they put the ZT specs up. Did it say if it was 1080 or 4k?

I only caught last few seconds of the ZT but the design isnt miles away from 2012.

However feature wise they now have voice commands so a response to Samsungs gimmicks last year.

Also dont know if was mentioned on the tv but on the blu ray players theyve basically rebranded swipe and share and are trying to relaunch the idea with a new name >.>

Literally no details on new plasma tech. Very disappointing for us.
As I remember it was the same last year, no details at all but 50 serie is excellent anyway. So, fingers crossed.

Engadget are reporting there is no UHD from Panasonic. I think if it was 4k they probably would have drawn attention to that, but maybe that will come later.

No doubt this years sets are gonna be excellent, but they could have spent a couple of minutes more explaining the new model, even if its not that much of an improvement, they could have at least hyped it up a bit.

They need to learn about marketing from Samsung

First time ive ever agreed with you.

They look down right unsafe. Little v shape thing =s

The 50 series stand was fine. It seems all design and gimicks.

Tho i did catch mention of fastest refresh rates ever or summat. So what they going to say 3500hz refresh or something lol.

I think the chance that there will be a 4k plasma in consumer line is highly unlikely. Given the strict rules about power consumption in nowadays sets we can just forget about it, perhaps small scintilla of hope is in their prosumer VX line. I cant imagine what would be the consumption for such a 4k 70'' power hog though.

Perhaps they can release them as pro tech which just happens to be available from selected retailers across the country including Panasonic stores lol

Only thing Im thinking is because the back actual stand is more visible is the new tv slightly higher off its base than the 50 series. The style isnt my preference but if stable is a mile better than the Samsung ark stand lol.
