Well, you can probably guess what I'd say!

Seriously though, all our patch cables have a 10 year warranty. We sell tens of thousands of these every year and, honestly, the failure rate is negligible.

Plus, you can contact us directly if you have any queries and speak to an actual technician here in the UK. And, we're here as an assured advertiser, supporting these forums. That's got to be worth something!

In the interest of impatiality (and a little mischief-making!), does anyone have any thoughts on the Belkin cables?

I personally believe theres very little real difference, having said that the only patch cable I've ever had go wrong was a Belkin one. Make of that what you will.

If you're going to compare branded cables on price, at least make sure you do it like for like. The link I posted earlier was for CAT6a SSTP as per the OP's request.

You can get a LINDY 10m CAT6 UTP for £7.29

Apologies for the delay getting back to you. Yes, we do a 2m cable. Unfortunately, due to an oversight it wasn't made visible on the website. The guilty party has been severely reprimanded with a pointy stick .

You can now find it here.

Quick question, why is the Cat 5e (Part No 12930) the same price as the Cat 6 (Part No 12937) cables?

12937 (The Cat6 cable) is solid core. 12930 (Cat5e) is stranded core. Generally, solid core cable is cheaper than stranded.

For example, our 305m reel of Cat5e UTP solid core is £89.99 as opposed to £114.99 for the equivalent stranded.

Solid core is used in permanent, infrastructure installations inside walls etc. Stranded cable is more flexible and is typically used to make patch cables.

HDMI over CATx Extenders do require a decent grade of CATx cable - what may work in a typical IP infrastructure may well fail in an HDMI infrastructure.

Ensure too that you know which wiring config your HDMI Extenders require - some are TIA-618A, some are TIA-618B, some don't care and some require a straight through connection.
