Question Ethernet link - wireless in the middle?

Hi, don't know if this is a sensible question or not! Am now the happy owner of a Pioneer SC LX81 receiver and BDP LX52. Both with ethernet, but also opposite corners of the house plus downstairs from my wireless router.

So my question is, rather than run 1 or 2 ethernet cables outside the house, can I bridge the gap wirelessly? I assume I can't have a regular wireless access point, as there is no way to install it in the receiver? Does the piece of kit exist, which will either talk directly to the router, or which will have a twin plugged into the router?

I hope i'm making sense! Hope someone can help. Thanks

Re: Ethernet link - wireless in the middle?

Think you'd need 2 pairs. Wouldn't both the receiver and BD need connecting to the router upstairs, not to each other.

If possible move the router near one of them and use homeplugs to link the other to the router.

On 2nd thoughts not sure how much use BD live is whereas streaming music on the amp might be more of a killer feature, so if it was me I'd use the homeplugs on the receiver and probably not bother with the BD
