Ford Mondeo Sony 6CD gen 2

I have bought a 2008 ford mondeo Titanium, it has a Sony 6CD Generation 2 radio.
it has bootons for phone, but cant conect my phone through blue tooth.
can anyone help in telling me how to do this or what I need to make it work

Sounds like you need to buy the bluetooth unit from ford

I thought Bluetooth was standard on the Titanium. Mine has it (56 plate), even though it wasn't ordered or mentioned by the saleman.

We have a Fiesta with the 2nd Gen Sony CD player. A manual came with the car, not the easiest to interpret, but enabled me to 'bond' my Samsung. Do you have the manual?

The phone button on Ford Sony units is there to mute the radio if you get a call but do not have the bluetooth unit fitted.
To connect a phone to a Ford system if you have the bluetooth unit you have to connect via "Connect to Audio Device" on your phone.
