The stick on windscreen aerials are a joke. Use a glass mount such as Panorama
but make sure you stick it on when the weather is warm, should last for years, if cold when applied will probably fall off in a few months.

Re: dab in a ford

Bosch do a 3 way roof antenna (3 ways being am/fm/dab).
It would replace the roof mount 'bee sting' type , but i think Ford's have a roof antenna mounted at the front of the roof. I recall it was a great performer (back in 2001). SMA type connector I think??.

ive just fitted one to my A4 they cant have holes drilled cos of the anti corrosion warranty,,,

cheapest place is bluespot and with them you get everything, and that is the panorama one
http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/dab_glass.asp

but they also do the all in one i think and from what ive heard if you can replace your exsisting one with the fm/dab jobby thats the best as apparently the roof is utilised as a grounding plate(whatever that means) but gives you the best reception, but i travel wells in somerset to chippenham to work and my glass mount is not bad, hope that all helps

Re: dab in a ford

I've had a Blaupunkt DAB radio in my Mondeo for at least 3 years now. I use one of the stick-on aerials listed in the previous post and it works great. I've never had to re-stick it and its been through all sorts of extremes of weather. Reception is very good, even in rural Devon where I live. There's one bit on the M5 nearby where it loses signal because of a hill, but then AM cuts out there too, to be fair.

Re: dab in a ford

I can concur totally with Wild Weasel, in that I replaced my Ford unit with a Blaupunkt DAB unit and I too had an aerial fitted to my side rear window (Focus estate) that has never come unstuck.
