Pedestrian Sat Nav

Am thinking about getting a portable sat nav for a family member. She has no sense of direction and is useless reading maps.

I would like to buy her a portable sat nav that she can carry so she doesn't get lost, or can find her way back if she does.

Which one is best for pedestrian use. Ideally i would like one that either comes with or can be added as an upgrade, europe maps Netehrlands,Czech Republic and Lithuania as it would also come in handy for my trips abroad.

Re: Pedestrian Sat Nav

why not get her a gps enabled mobile phone, that way if she gets lost and cant make out the map at least she can call for someone to pick her up, make sure it is tracker enabled and you will never have to worry again.

Re: Pedestrian Sat Nav

Are you sure that this person is capable of turing on and selecting the destination and understanding what is being displayed?
