Is it me or did map updates used to be free?

I am sure I updated the GB maps on my TomTom One last year, but now it looks as though they charge for the whole map again. Is that right?

no tom tom have always charged for full map updates, one of the sticking points with them.

dont understand why they cant let you have the updated map for free!
