[THE GFP]

i just bought 2 sat navs off ebay for a buy it now and now i think i see why no one else had bought them

the n60i had no leads or manuals at all just the unit which is brand new, i bought the car charger & mains charger & windscreen mount off ebay for £20 so thats all fine

but today i set it to take me from huntingdon to south northampton and 1.5 hours later i turned it off and turned round as i was about 20 miles in the wrong direction and so i found it myself (then went back tonight with a friends tomtom and did it in 33 mins)

well in the top right hand corner of the screen its always flashing "DEMO" and when i programme a route it does it all and then does the route on its own, i know my old tomtom would demo the route or not but this is like it no matter what i do and on occasions it would say the road i was on and give me the right directions

it was saying "turn left here" in the middle of a 5 mile strech of a14 with no turnings

it would say "in 5.1 miles" then i count using the car mileometer and when 5.1 miles had gone the unit would still show 2.6 miles!

whats going on

also the other one again with no leads, books ect. was an "LG LN500" and i can not find any stuff for it on ebay

so any ideas why the navman is behaving like its drunk and any other help would be great

It sounds like the unit is set to demo all routes.

Go into the preferences screen (the button with the four ovals on it), choose route options, go to the fourth option screen and make sure that demonstrate routes, loop demonstrations, etc are all unchecked.

turned them off but it still shows the arrow and the arrow is moving along the route!

im used to tomtoms and this navman is so weird
