Twin cigarette sockets and 2 portable DVD players

Hi all,

Anyone use a product like this (24V Twin Cigarette Socket Adaptor : Trucker Accessories : Maplin) to power 2 portable DVD players at the same time?

The Mrs. wants to get the kids portable DVD players for christmas - but allow them to watch different DVDs on seperate screens. Rather than buying a dual screen / dual DVD unit (Argos sell one made by Bush) I'm wondering if it'll be better just to buy 2 seperate units and then use a cable like the above so both can be used at the same time.

"Will 12v (or 24v) and max. 10 amp be enough to drive 2 players" is probably a short version of what I'm asking!

Any thoughts/help gratefully received!

Dez

yes it will work but a 12v version for your car. What kind of budget do you have for the screens? You could get built in headrest monitors with dvd for about £189.00 and would be a cleaner look, with no wires on show.

Thanks ... but would be worried that they would be a "thief magnet" for my car! Also ... if portable then kids can take them into the house/caraven/holiday home and watch them there too
