Since yesterday, when I make a call from my Nokia 5800 , the display in my car shows "Telephone" as normal but the actual ringing tone doesnt come through the speakers. The rest of the connection ,be it , the answer phone or the person speaking comes through

Why would only the ringing tone no longer come through the speakers?

the type of handsfree kit or car if manufacturer fitted would probably be a big help in getting an answer
